Leicester International Women's Day

2024 · Project Manager and Event Coordinator · March 2024, Leicester

Two hundred women, one room, and a keynote from the MP.

A community day built around resilience and solidarity, with Leicester East MP Claudia Webbe as keynote. I ran it from concept to close: the brand and messaging, the programme, the stallholders, the guests and the room itself, hosting and speaking on the day.

  • Secured and coordinated Leicester East MP Claudia Webbe as keynote speaker, on the International Women's Day theme of Inspire Inclusion and solidarity with women in conflict-affected regions.
  • Hosted the evening and delivered an address on women's empowerment.
  • Recruited and coordinated nine women-led stalls, from modest wear to jewellery, crafts and food.
