Context
Rather than focusing solely on the milestones of entrepreneurship, I spoke about the experiences and values that shaped the way I build. In particular, I explored how my humanitarian work has influenced my approach to business, leadership and impact, and why I believe entrepreneurship can be both commercially ambitious and socially conscious. Following that engagement, I was invited back by NatWest to participate in their Windrush Anniversary Roundtable, bringing together a small group of people connected to Caribbean heritage, business communities and the wider legacy of the Windrush generation. The roundtable created space for an honest conversation about the barriers facing Black and Caribbean entrepreneurs, the opportunities available to institutions supporting these communities, and what it takes to create more equitable environments in which businesses and individuals can thrive.

The work
Impact
What began as a speaking engagement developed into an ongoing relationship centred on dialogue, representation and inclusive enterprise. For me, the value of these conversations is not simply being invited into the room. It is being able to bring lived experience, cultural understanding and an entrepreneurial perspective into spaces where decisions about businesses, communities and access are being shaped.
